The BJJ FUNdamentals Program is focused and repetitive to allow attendees to better retain the information. This helps to minimize injuries during training because of the new ways we are learning to move our bodies. We’ll teach you how to execute these actions without putting your training partners at unnecessary risk, as well as safe ways to react when you, yourself, are put in a tricky position. Awareness of timing, including when to tap out, is a learnt skill. Roll etiquette is also a major theme in BJJ FUNdamentals.

Gracie Charleston’s BJJ FUNdamentals is designed to:

● Focus on the core techniques that every jiu jitsu practitioner should know

● Set the groundwork in movement patterning and conceptual understanding

● Instill learned behaviors and consistent technique through conditioning

Students are highly encouraged to ask questions in order to improve their individual understanding of the techniques and positions. All students – from white belt to black belt – are encouraged to participate in this program.
